First off, I just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone that came to the V-Rag 2 Year Anniversary Party, especially our gorgeous Canuck diva Simone Denny! Couldn’t have made it these two years without the support of all of V-Rag‘s readers and partners. Thanks everyone!

So, we’re on to year three, and no better way to kick it off than to party even more. This is, of course, Pride month in VanCity, but we’re also hosting the 2011 North America Outgames! We have a rundown of all the best parties, events and festivals to attend this month. Headlining the Outgames closing ceremonies (and our cover) is the Swedish pop sensation Ace of Base, as well as indie electro trio Dragonette. We got to chat with both bands about their upcoming performances.

Also in this star-studded double issue, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and runner-up Raja and Manila Luzon kee kee (not ki ki). It’ll be a Rainbow Night when Lady Bunny and Frankie Knuckles roll into town, and we caught up with both of these legends. Charlie David plays kiss and tell with gay porn icon Brent Corrigan, and Jeffrey Horvitz helps bring our community together through photos.
